Laika is a 1991 Westerly Oceanlord that I bought in march 2010. Much of summer 2010 was spent at Queen Anne's Battery in Plymouth sorting out everything that needed sorting out before Laika was re-launched with a clean hull, new seacocks, several new skin fittings, extensively re-worked plumbing, new standing rigging and a new engine. The refit would have been much harder and more expensive without the advice and assistance of Fast Tack Yachts at QAB.

On August 1st 2010 Audrey, Deepak and I left Plymouth to bring Laika to Gosport. Other than the vang deciding to detach itself from the mast we managed to make it through the Cowes week hordes without mishap.

Laika spent the next two months in Gosport Marina before moving to a new home at Royal Clarence Marina.
